Shane played his youth hockey in Kitchener Ontario. This past season Shane played for the Stratford Cullitons in the MWJHL. In 2006-07 season he Played for Ajax Attack in the OPHL Junior "A" Hockey League. This past season in 58 games Shane scored 20 goals, 31 assists for 51 points. He lead the league in shots on goals with an average of seven per game. At every level Shane has proven himself to be one of fastest and most skilled players in the league. "Shane's speed and skill is a great fit for the European game, said Keith McAdams, Head Coach of the Eagles. "The fans in Varkaus will enjoy watching this young man play."
